What are flower essences?

Flower essences are infusions of flowers in water, that are potentised and then stabilised in a solution of brandy and water. They contain no scent or perfume and should not be confused with essential oils. A flower essence is the vibrational imprint of a flower that has been transferred and stabilised in water. Flower essences can help us recognise, resolve, or release different conditioned ways of perceiving the world and can help us experience greater well-being and harmony in our lives.

What are vibrational essences?

Vibrational essences are can be made from the energy of many other substances other than flowers. They may also come from:

  • The stems, roots, bulbs and buds of flowers.
  • Minerals/gems
  • Animals
  • The environment
  • Light sources, such as the stars and moon

How long do I take flower essences for?

For optimum effects take a flower essence or formula for a minimum of one month. Sometimes it may be necessary to take them for longer. If you want to increase their effects, use them more often rather than more drops each time.

How do essences work?

Each essence holds unique qualities. As we use a flower essence, we begin to resonate in harmony with the qualities of the flower, and limitations and disharmonies begin to change. Some people feel an energetic shift when they take the essences. It may take a few days for anything unlike the positive effects to be felt. You may get uncomfortable feelings, emotions or even realisations about your current circumstances. They help us become conscious of things that are already happening with ourselves. As a result, sometimes we may have an awarenesses with which we are uncomfortable.

People react differently – remember each person may experience the effects differently so don’t compare yourself to someone else.

You are encouraged to journal whilst taking the essences to note your experiences and any changes.

Flower essences are absorbed through the mucus membranes in the mouth and enter directly into the bloodstream. The vibrational imprint of the essences is then moves through the bloodstream, influencing the endocrine system, the nervous system, the nadis and the chakras.

Can flower essences be used with other modalities?

Absolutely! flower essences can be used on their own or in conjunction with other modalities to enhance a wellbeing journey.  I have found them to add support to a breathwork journey. They have been used with great success by naturopathic doctors, massage therapists, psychologists, medical doctors, veterinarians, and other health care practitioners. The essences can be an extremely effective tool in the hands of an experienced practitioner to enhance awareness, facilitate healing and create harmony.

I cannot take alcohol, what should I do?

Most flower essence producers preserved a flower essence with approx 5 ml of alcohol in a stock essence bottle. If a personalised formula in a dosage bottle has been made up for you – this means 3-10 drops were taken from the stock bottle and placed in a dosage bottle. Vinegar or glycerin would be used as a preservative in the dosage bottle so there will only be trace amounts of alcohol. In this case or if you bought a flower essence from a producer you can also place drops in a cup of warm water and continually sip. The alcohol will evaporate.

If you have any concerns with taking trace amounts of alcohol then do not take flower essences.

Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. All essences contain alcohol and may be unsuitable for persons receiving certain types of medication. It is  recommended that all persons who have been advised to avoid alcohol while receiving such medication should consult a pharmacist, Doctor, or qualified health professional before taking any essence. Persons receiving medication to counteract alcohol addiction should not use Bach Flower Essences in any form or dilution.

Special warnings and special precautions for use; keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or breast-feeding, consult a pharmacist, Doctor, or qualified health professional before use.

What is Rebirthing Breathwork?

Rebirthing Breathwork is also known as Conscious Connected Breathing and involves energetic connected breathing, unblocks the breathing mechanism achieving free breath and we get rid of the negative conditionings that we developed about life as well as the patterns and prints they have left on our cellular memory.

What is Rebirthing Breathwork useful for?

Breathwork helps to activate the subconscious mind, bringing awareness and insights which are not easily accessed through traditional therapy. Breath opens the body’s subtle energy channels in the body and allows what we have been holding onto to surface and be transformed. This may be suppressed emotional material, physical blocks in the body, old beliefs structures and identifications, old memories, fight/flight/freeze patterns, and addictions. The aim of a session is to move through any difficulties using the breath and feel connection with yourself, reach a state of peace or expanded awareness.

What happens in a session?

Every session involves intuitive counselling, one hour of circular connected breathing practice and integration.

The first session will take longer because we talk about your life circumstances and how they might be affecting your life. Then we’ll continue to using the breathwork. Afterwards you’ll be encouraged to share about your experience.
